TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking

1. Pet Guardians will provide the services stated in this agreement in a caring, reliable and completely trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Pet Guardians.
2. All in-house consultations are required, prior to reservations, for all new clients.
3. Pet Guardians agrees to keep all your information private and confidential.
4. Pet Guardians accepts no responsibility or security of the premises or loss of any item.
5. Please inform Pet Guardians of any changes regarding your contact numbers, your pets care needs, your emergency contact details and any other pertinent information.
6. It is expressly understood that Pet Guardians shall not be held responsible for damage to the client’s property or that of others caused by the client’s pet during the period in which they are in my care.

Cancellations

1. In the event of cancellations that are notified to us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the booking period, all fees less the 50% non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
2. If Pet Guardians cannot provide the service agreed, we will do our best to arrange alternative, unless in extreme circumstances, when we will endeavour to give 24 hours notice.

Payments and Deposits

1. In the event of cancellations that are notified to us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the booking period, all fees less the 50% non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
2. A 50% deposit is required for all bookings that will be taken in advance and full payment will be required 14 days before your holiday. Cheque, cash or bank transfer. (Please ask for bank details)

Aggressive Animals

1. The client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including but not limited to medical care, legal fees, etc.) if the client’s pet(s) should bite another animal.
2. The client agrees that on booking Pet Guardians for the pets that they have represented that they have not shown aggression or caused harm, or threatening behaviour to any individual and/or pets.
3. We will not walk unruly or untrained dogs

Insurance

1. Pet Guardians is fully insured for public liability, for the peace of mind of its clients.
2. The insurance only covers Pet Guardians, for the duration of the selected service, and only for services agreed.
3. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of the assignment.

Keys

1. The client is to provide keys / arrange for keys to be available for Pet Guardians.

Privacy Policy

1. All of your information will be kept private and confidential.

Household Emergencies

1. Details of shut off points for services to the property are to be provided on the booking form.
2. In the event of a household emergency, your emergency contact will be contacted to arrange any remedial work.

Emergency Veterinary Care

1. Pet Guardians are to obtain any emergency veterinary care that maybe necessary during the time spent with your pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care.
2. The client is to accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care.
3. The client is also to authorise Pet Guardians to use an alternative vet should your regular vet be unavailable.

Unforeseen Purchases

1. In the event that additional items need to be purchased in the absence of the client (pet food, litter, cleaning supplies, etc.) that contribute to the health and wellbeing of your pet, pet Guardians will purchase these and retain the receipt for re-imbursement by the pet owner on their return.

Inclement Weather

1. You will entrust Pet Guardians to use best judgement in caring for your pets and home at the time of inclement weather. We will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our ability. However, in cases of extreme weather we will contact you with alternative arrangements.

Medication/Vaccinations/Immunisations

1. Pet Guardians will follow instructions to administer medication as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.
2. Under no circumstances will Pet Guardians service any pet that has any form of active contagious illness.
3. If Pet Guardians are bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the clients pet which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may be incurred as a result.

Collars/Leads

1. Please provide secure collars with appropriate tags for all visits. All dogs will be walked on leads at all times.

House Cleanliness

1. Pet Guardians will clean up after your pets to the best of their ability. Please advise them of the designated area for the appropriate cleaning supplies.
2. Pet Guardians are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet.
3. We request that you provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels and bin bags.

Thermostats

1. Please leave your thermostat settings within a normal comfortable range.
2. If the house temperature is outside of this range, Pet Guardians will adjust the thermostat to ensure the health and comfort of your pet. Your emergency contact will be notified.
